Yay, the war in Iraq is "over"!

I have three problems with the supposed end to the Iraq war: 1. It's been over. Frequently. The war has been 'over' so many times, it has it's own drawer and a toothbrush at my place. But some new crisis emerges, or some new threat rises every time. And this brings me to point number 2. If you want us to believe the war is over, Obama Administration, don't leave 50,000 troops who say otherwise. Really, how are we supposed to believe this war is 'over' while the 'Peace Soldiers' (that is such an oxymoron) take the occasional patriotic bullet to the chest. Maybe we could all just do what they want us to do and get out... over the border and into Afghanistan, where the war to end all terrorism is being waged (if you really can't tell, I'm being sarcastic). And finally point number 3. Why in Henry Kissinger's name would you want to announce the war being over, address the public, and then go on to midterms? I know it's a good strategy from a few angles, but consider it this way; you are a soldier who just spent over four years fighting a losing battle. Finally, one full year after he said he would, Obama pulls you out of the desert as a last-minute damage control plan for the Midterms. Wouldn't you feel a little peeved, a little, I don't know, angery? But hey, it's only my opinion.
